I am 82 years old, and I have started to lose enamel on some of my teeth. My dental team suggested Fluoridex toothpaste, used on a daily basis. At first I thought a "medicinal" toothpaste would be hard to deal with, especially because it is recommended that you not rinse out until 30 minutes after you brush. But the pleasant taste of Fluoridex made the adjustment relatively easy, and after a week or so the process became routine. If high fluoride toothpaste is recommended for you by your dental team, Fluoridex is the way to go.
